The springs of the longest Rhodopean river - Arda has given the name of one of the most romantic Rhodopean regions - The Arda Bed region, tucked away a rich natural and cultural heritage. Here are "Agushevi konatzi" (A mediaeval resting-place), "Kaleto" Tower, the ancient resting-places in the villages of Bukata and Chereshovo. There are 23 karst caves documented in the region, more popular of which are Uhlovitza Cave, Borikovska and Nadarska Caves.
Eight walking routes starting from the villages of Smilyan, Mogilitza and Arda lead the tourists to heavenly places and ancient times.
